Route Guidelines
These are general riding rules and etiquette; please obey all rules on the roads you are traveling.
- Helmets are required. Please, obey the same laws as motor vehicles.
- Bikers should stay to the right side of the road and pass to the left side of the road. When passing, slow down and ring a bell or call out to alert the other person you are passing.
- Do not block the road. Groups should be in a single file when other riders are present and should never use more than one-half of the road for the flow of traffic.
- Respect public and private property.
- Cell phone service is available throughout the region, however, please note service varies per carrier and the area a person is in. Access to bathroom facilities and drinking water is limited along the route.
- Park in designated areas only.
Leave No Trace
- Littering along the route is prohibited.
- If you pack it in, pack it out.
- Do not break off tree limbs, pick, or damage plants growing along the road.
- Do not damage or take any piece or part of historic artifacts.
- Take only pictures; leave only tracks. Please stay on the road.
Emergencies
- For all emergencies, call 911 first.
- If possible, alert race staff of the incident for situational awareness.
